<h4><b>Voltage</b> </h4>

<p>A system's components are rated for a specific operating voltage. Voltage probes are
placed on different components within the system to ensure adequate voltage and to prevent
damage that can result from excessive voltage.</p>

<p>The <b>Voltage</b> <b>Probes</b> window displays information about the following:

<ul>
  <li>Status of each voltage probe in the system</li>
  <li>Actual voltage read by the probe at the time of the request; a snapshot of voltage at a
    particular point in time (<b>Reading</b>)</li>
  <li>Minimum and maximum warning threshold values for voltage probes</li>
</ul>

<h4><b>Status</b></h4>

<p>Voltage probes report <font color="#000000">voltages</font> at different locations
within a chassis to the Server Administrator Instrumentation Service. Voltage status is
one of the following states:</p>

<h4><b>Voltage Probe Fields</b></h4>

<p>Some voltage probe fields differ according to the type of firmware that your system
has: BMC or ESM.&nbsp;</p>

    <td width="70%" valign="top" align="left"><font color="#000000">Displays the alphanumeric
    text that uniquely identifies a voltage probe. For example, Motherboard.&nbsp;</font></td>

    <td width="70%" valign="top" align="left"><font color="#000000">Displays a snapshot of
    voltages measured by the probe at a given time.</font></td>
